Finnish Construction Support Oy has developed a new AI-based license plate recognition and reporting service for cars and construction equipment.
The new service is significantly more cost-effective and offers greater flexibility in terms of deployment than solutions currently available on the market.
FCS’s new service enables cost-effective monitoring of traffic and travelers even in locations where this was not previously possible. Going forward, we will be able to meet the data collection, monitoring, and security needs of small cities and municipalities, as well as businesses operating in rural and sparsely populated areas.
With FCS’s service, end customers can, for example, base billing for the use of specified areas on actual usage volumes and ensure that billing is timed correctly. In addition, this service enables a rapid response to unauthorized, repetitive, or unusually timed movements detected in the vicinity of locations critical to societal operations.
The new solution has been integrated into the StreetAI smart city system provided by Finnish Construction Support.
FCS has received EU rural development funding (EU contribution: €1,290) for this development work from the Leader Länsi-Saimaa group.
